Our measurements are taken from the outside of the floor and wall framing; therefore, they don't include the siding or sheathing.
For true interior dimensions, subtract the thickness of the wall framing:

For true exterior dimensions, add the thickness of the siding, sheathing, and corner trim:
3/8” for Canexel siding
¾” for cedar siding
1 ½” for log siding
¾” for corner boards

The Nomad’s contemporary low slope roof (4/12 pitch) is designed with a standard 2’ overhang at the front and 1’ around the remaining perimeter. The roof system consists of rafters and 5/8” T&G plywood sheathing.
Low slope roofs do not always require vents. Consult with your contractor or roofing company for the most effective ventilation system for your roof.
Made from 1 x 8 STK cedar siding, the soffit boards cover the underside of the Nomad's overhang. Fascia (typically 1 x 4 cedar) is the board that runs along the bottom edge of the roof, trimming the eaves with a nice, straight line.
Choosing the right foundation will depend on your Nomad’s size, location, and purpose. The preferred foundation for a Nomad is a floating concrete slab. Piers may also be an option.
Visit our Foundations page for more details, or contact one of our design specialists for assistance.
